IKAROS

Ikaros is a Greek restaurant residing in Oakland. Executive Chef George began cooking with his grandmother when he was a boy. With her he learned to use a range of spices from across the Mediterranean including Northern Africa to bring out the best flavors in savory food. The restaurant is named after the Greek island of Ikaria, famous for its relaxed lifestyle, minimal stress, daily socializing and healthy diet. The custom typeface and brand identity is inspired by greek statues and pillars, using it to create a modern, fresh, yet sophisticated feel amongst an island inspired color palette.
